Dwayne Edward LeBleu (aka) J. J., was born in Eunice, Louisiana on March 23, 1961. He moved to Beaumont, Texas at the age of 6 years old.
He started working for Patillo BBQ restaurants when he was 13 years old and became known as one of the best known pitmasters of all time. Frank and Robert Patillo family loved him as member of their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Mae LeBleu and Arthur Williams of Eunice, Louisiana; his sister, Brenda Castille Brown; his cousins he loved as brothers, John Viges and Michael Guillory.
Dwayne leaves cherished memories to his sister, Linda LeBleu Maple (Marcus) who he loved as his “mama”; one brother Michael Williams (LaTisha); his cousins he loved as brothers, Clarence Guillory (Irma), Horace Guillory (Mary), and Carrie Winfrey as his sister. He loved his godchild/niece, Eureka LeBleu Anderson as his daughter. He was a loving uncle to four other nieces, Breneta Bowser (Jerome), Nikia LeBleu Prudhomme, Kimishai Maple Shankle (Brandon), Shanita Douglas (Joshua), as well as seven nephews, Corey Brown, Gregory Brown (Lolita), Jonathan Castille, Johnathan LeBleu (Renee), Myche Williams, Michael Jenkins, Timothy Thompson, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
SPECIAL FRIENDS whom he loved dearly: Beverly Ann and Charles Hadnot.
On Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Maple Grove Baptist Church, 1890 Magnolia St., in Beaumont there will be a visitation – 9 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m.
